JONATHAN CHERRY: What gets you up in the morning?
MICHAEL JONES: Repositioned Gallery currently gets me up in the morning.
JC: Are there any emerging photographers inspiring you at the moment?
MJ: I like Niall O’Brian’s work and the personal work of David Harriman.
JC: What is your current project all about?
MJ: I’m working on the gallery and tentatively looking into a moving image project along Scotland’s A9 road.
JC: What equipment are you currently using?
MJ: Canon 5d mk2, 5x4 film camera, Mamiya 7 film camera.
JC: How do you find juggling personal & commercial work?
MJ: Commercial work is just so difficult to find making money is a creative juggling act in it’s own right. Trying to sell personal work somehow might be a better idea. Hence Repositioned.
JC: Any advice to recent photography graduates?
MJ: Be totally amazing.
JC: Favourite tree?
MJ: Cypress tree.
